My family came to Amarillo in 1902, and I have lived here almost all my life. I attended the old Amarillo High School, and graduated in 1973. I have always had an interest in art and jewelry making. My parents, who were both students with Dord Fitz back in the 60’s, introduced me to my creative life. I have a sister who is an oil artist; I believe it’s in the genes! I have been making jewelry on and off since my thirties, but never really became serious about it until my 3 children left for college. My husband has been one of the most supportive and encouraging people in my life.
